    May i know how to set up the alarm notifier to send email to me when the alarm is triggered?i have tried but didnot receive any email from the server so far..

    I have set up gmail as my SMTP server. The add is smtp.gmail.com. Is it correct?

     Hi

    From looking at google's info on the issue it appears that google's SMTP server requires TLS. The SmartServer's user guide does not mention TLS, only CRAM-MD5. I think you may be unable to use google's SMTP server with the SmartServer.

    Hi Cheah,
    here in Germany I successfully tested it with the free email provider GMX.DE.

    Thanks Jorg.I am in Singapore. Can i try using GMX.DE server also? What is the setting like?

    For GMX you need an account, with address etc. Unfortunately it has a German interface partially only.

    Hi, I tried (without succes) to send an email with google smtp.
    troggendorf:

    I think this to. I set the acount parameters, i verify the connection and it passes, but fail in sending mail ( all in the verify section of the smartserver). I hope this help Regards
